ClamWin is a free anti-virus program for Windows Systems, based off of the popular ClamAV (UNIX/Linux antivirus program). It has a very very thorough scanner that can take a very long time for larger systems, but a very quick scan for smaller systems. It is not a very commonly used Anti-Virus due to the fact that most people use paid antiviruses because they have a more steady stream of updates than free AVs. But I have to say, if there is a hope for free, open-source anti-virus scanners, it is ClamWin!

* High detection rates for viruses;
* Scanning Scheduler;
* Automatic downloads of regularly updated Virus Database.
* Standalone virus scanner and right-click menu integration to Microsoft Windows Explorer;
* Addin to Microsoft Outlook to remove virus-infected attachments automatically.
Cons:
*No real time virus scanning;
*Updates are sometimes random
